STORAGE & HANDLING

Protect identity, dryness, and temperature history.

These are general laboratory safeguards for sealed lyophilized materials. Product- or batch-specific documentation takes priority because stability varies by sequence, formulation, and container.

  • On arrival Confirm the product name, strength, seal, and condition before storage.
  • Short transit Lyophilized peptides are commonly shipped at room temperature; a 2–7 business day transit period is not the same as long-term storage.
  • Long-term default Unless the product record says otherwise, keep sealed lyophilized peptide materials dry, protected from light, and at −20°C or colder.
  • Before opening Let a cold sealed vial equilibrate to room temperature before opening to reduce condensation and moisture uptake.
  • After preparation Stability becomes product- and solvent-specific. Use validated laboratory procedures, minimize repeated freeze–thaw cycles, and preserve the preparation record.
  • Access Keep all materials secured from children, animals, and unauthorized personnel.
